<br />Having spoken with Mr, Jini Lanyus and with 1•�r, Larry Crawford
<br />earlier this week, I am [aking this [ime to write [o you, too,

<br />am quite sure -- not written by you, but by another party of differen[
<br />gender, � wi11 instead ask for your consideration and forebearance in
<br />a situaiion I have been trying [o con[rol and your understanding or a
<br />situation which requires more time Chan has been given,
<br />I have no desire to try to say tha[ [hese buildings are in excellent
<br />shape, Havever, ic has been at tha har,ds of tanants firs[ and then vandals
<br />that the greatest damaye has been done, Prior [o that the Housing
<br />Au[hority paid rent for tenan[s on these pranises, A combination of
<br />things, sane mentioned above, brought the premises [o their presen[
<br />condition, not the least of which was city refusal to turn water back on,
<br />I have been in procass ( rior to a� involvement by the city)
<br />of improving the premises and have baen workiny through the P,U,D.
<br />weatherization program on insulation and windavs -- obviously work which
<br />is done through contractors, with inspections, permits, etc, 1 have
<br />also been pursuing -- and will continue to pursue -- CHIP par[icipation,
<br />However, � cannot do anything when � have conflict arising fran personal
<br />vendettas of a female city employee who has praviously been orderad no[
<br />to set foo[ on any proper[y of mine withou[ first havino written permission
<br />from me -- not only by me but by her two previous City of Everet[ bosses,
<br />Please bear with me, I am in process of bring(ng [hese buildfngs
<br />back up to proper habitability. 1 certainly have no[ had than fn this
<br />conditlon for any perlod faintly resembling many others In [hls city
<br />that have been a true nulsance and cost the city large sums -- such as [he
<br />Mon[e Cristo Notel to name jus[ one, These buildings have been a tre-
<br />mendous neyative cash flow [o me, end � certainly care more a6ou[
<br />reversing that situation than eny of you do. However, i do need sane
<br />cooperation and consideration Instead ot threats -- a, a certain someone
<br />on ilie city payroll see�ns fond of doiny, We have boarded up and locked
<br />doors and wfndavs almos[ daily, but vendals con.inue to break in reyard-
<br />less of what we do.. Wo have asked for police �o check at nighi, but
<br />don�[ get that cooperatton etther, We have been frustrated at almost
<br />every turn, bu[ have continued [o move f'orward wi[h, admittedly, limited
<br />financial resources,
