Specifically, the agreement will allow Snohomish County to continue to provide routine maintenance, on-call emergency response, traffic signal materials, and program engineering for the six City of Everett traffic signals located on Airport Road. These signals were initially installed by Snohomish County and are compatible with their system but not the City's signal system. This area was annexed into the City, and function effectively for this busy Boeing Corridor. Consequently, it is cost effective to contract with Snohomish County for the maintenance of these signals, rather than retraining or expanding our staff to accommodate them. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Interlocal Agreement between City of Everett and Snohomish County regarding traffic signal maintenance on Airport Road. e
