I 311 AN ORDINANCE authorizing sewer utility funding to encourage installation of sanitary sewer in the unsewered areas of 4 ! the City and establishing rates and charges related thereto. • J 6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett finds that there are 7 areas of the City which are not served by the Everett sewer system and which • 8 require sewer service for health, sanitation and Clean Water reasons and in 9 order to permit future improvement of undeveloped properties; and 10 WHEREAS, the City Council finds that, while the costs of sewer system ' 11 connection to unimproved properties should be primarily a property 12 development cost, there are City-wide health, sanitation and Clean Water 13 benefits in • providing financial support to existing single family or low 14 density multiple residence owners in order to connect residences on septic 15 tanks to the Everett sewer system; 16 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF EVERETT DOES ORDAIN: 17 Section 1 : The Everett Sewer Utility is authorized toa $ topay `r�, 6�D -- 18 per parcel to encourage formation of Local Improvement Districts for the 19 sole purpose of or which include the construction of sanitary sewers. 20 .
