These LEDs will reduce electricity <br /> usage by over 90% and will last about five times longer than incandescent bulbs. PUD will reimburse the <br /> City over 50% of the material costs and City will pay for the remaining LED procurement cost with <br /> electricity savings in about one year. These items are available from a competitively bid City of Portland <br /> contract. The City has an interlocal cooperative purchasing agreement with the City of Portland that allows <br /> us to make purchases from their competitively awarded contracts in lieu of soliciting bids on our own. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize Purchase of Traffic Signal Replacement LEDs from City of Portland in the amount of$465,342.38 <br /> including Washington State Sales Tax. 1 <br />
