(9ater in Foundation Crawl Space)
Y
Gentlemen:
The City of Everett Public Works Department has reviewed the situation at
4711-5th Avenue W. with regards to the water in the foundation's crawl space.
' 14e hav als ev' e
e o r iew d the amount of impact that allowing this home and three
others with similar problems (4715, 4719 4723 - 5th Ave. W.) to divert their
rooftop runoff to the public street drainage system and find that it would not
create any significant problems with the public drainage system.
One method approved by the City to facilitate connection to the City drainage
system would be to construct a "residential sidewalk drain" per City Standard
l319 (see attached). This would allow for easy hook-up of the houses' rooftop
downspoiits which may help eliminate the water in the foundation crawl space.
However, the City in no way guarantees that this will solve the problem in as
much as the water may be originating from a different source other than the
rooftops.
The City forces are willing to provide the boaring of the four necessary holes
through the curb at locations to be specified later. All other work shall be
the responsibility of the builder and/or the owner of houses.
IP you have any yuestions please contact our office at 259-8800.
Sincerely,
/ '%.
/
Lrry C wf rd
Acting Pu ic Works Director
LC:KB/gab
Attachments
SLRQTS +E\.V«'1R!`// 'PqN$ii 'dOtOR JiPL01LG =liLLiG 'flLi➢c5 GN4=LLC' _ te_=:': Ii:AFRCENGRi
Li-:B:O _IC', ;E]c90' ':EIUCLLS _SJde^_J iEl:'ICcS = '.I]'E= '• _9.'9C SIGl1FL"AINiENPNGL
c _Y CO
;:A.9f:0 ...Ac._ -;.....' :n.. ....r .' .'._ :532CCJ
._ ':•Aira;.
