However,in <br /> mid September, Geotivity went into receivership and ceased to provide services under the contract. On October 17 a <br /> notice of termination was sent to Geotivity (copy attached) and termination of the contract with Geotivity became <br /> effective October 31. SFE Global had submitted a proposal for the same work, is considered qualified to perform the <br /> work and is prepared to undertake the balance of the monitoring program without exceeding the previously authorized <br /> budget of$300,000. One payment of$9,100 (less $1,500)to Geotivity is pending. <br /> The scope of services includes 12 meters and 2 rain gages for calibration of a sewer hydraulic model and evaluate <br /> status of current pipe capacity in trunks and interceptors of the City's sewer system, metering of flows from outside <br /> sewer agencies, monitoring wet weather events at CSOs (Combined Sewer Overflows) and metering in conjunction <br /> with waste strength sampling by City's Industrial Pretreatment group. SFE Global will furnish and install monitor <br /> equipment at selected locations in the City's sewer network and will provide comprehensive data management and <br /> equipment maintenance services.
