The monitoring equipment shall be <br /> battery powered and capable of operating continuously for up.to 6 months and shall <br /> include a battery sensor channel that transmits the unit's battery voltage at each <br /> sample rate and an alarm at low battery power. Unless the site conditions permit <br /> otherwise, all flow monitoring equipment shall be contained within the sewer <br /> manhole(s) with the possible exception of an antenna for communication. Specific <br /> monitor equipment shall be selected to best match the given monitoring situation. <br /> Sensors, monitor units and associated equipment shall be new or nearly-new and <br /> currently commercially available and manufactured for this intended application. <br /> All sewer monitors shall have provisions for an ISCO compatible flow-pulse cable a <br /> minimum of 10 feet long. Equipment shall provide an isolated contact closure at a <br /> City-defined frequency for flow-paced sampler operation. The City will purchase the <br /> interface cables. <br /> L. Maintenance Documentation <br /> The consultant shall ensure monitors and rain gauges are kept in working order, free <br /> of debris, and shall either visually or remotely check operation at least weekly to <br /> verify accuracy and data integrity. Any suspected fouling or malfunction of sensors <br /> by remote observation shall be reported to the City as soon as it is observed. All <br /> maintenance performed on the monitors and rain gauges shall be documented in <br /> detail. The sewer monitoring firm will promptly respond to address any abnormal <br /> data observed by the City including an action plan response communicated to the City <br /> within 24 hours and corrective measures completed within 48 hours. If corrective <br /> measures cannot be completed within 48 hours, the consultant will advise the City of <br /> the scheduled day and time. <br /> M. Monthly Invoices,Reports and Meetings <br /> The sewer monitoring firm shall provide a monthly status report (submitted with <br /> invoice statement or separately)that provides a summary of the following: <br /> Monthly Report <br /> • A summary tabulation for all monitoring sites which indicates the <br /> accumulated uptime and a summary list of downtime events and <br /> the reason for the downtime. <br /> • Sample scattergraph and hydrograph plots for each sewer monitor <br /> site that demonstrate accurate consistent data is being obtained. <br /> • Maintenance documentation. <br /> • CD files with raw and refined data. <br /> Invoices shall be itemized sufficiently to clearly reflect the current charges, past <br /> charges and remaining budget balance. Retail sales tax of 8.6% is to be added to <br /> rental charges only. In addition, the sewer monitoring firm representative shall <br /> attend up to 10 coordination meetings with the City.
