The purpose of this <br /> amendment is to adopt a Historic Overlay Zone for the area described above and to adopt Riverside <br /> Neighborhood Conservation Guidelines and Historic Overlay Zone standards for that area. The guidelines <br /> and standards designate the historic design features of the neighborhood which are significant and should be <br /> provided by new construction or preserved in remodeling of existing structures. The ordinance includes a <br /> map of properties which contribute to the character of the neighborhood. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Adopt an ordinance amending Ordinance No. 1671-89, as amended (Title 19 EMC), establishing an"H" <br /> Historic Overlay Zone for the Riverside Neighborhood, and modifying certain zoning standards therein. <br /> j8 <br />
