Ztjjc CUp of E)jirett <br /> PROCLAMATION <br /> WHEREAS, families strengthen our community by teaching our <br /> children and helping them grow into valuable members of society; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, Thanksgiving week is a fitting time to honor the <br /> importance of families and recognize the ways in which they <br /> contribute to our community; and <br /> WHEREAS, we all can help make families successful through the <br /> work of neighborhood organizations, businesses, nonprofit agencies, <br /> policymakers, and, of course, families themselves; and <br /> WHEREAS, the South Everett Neighborhood Center and Familias <br /> Unidas invite community members to join in the commitment to <br /> enhance and extend connections that strengthen and enrich <br /> families; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, I Ray Stephanson, Mayor of the City of <br /> Everett, do hereby proclaim November 23 through November 29, <br /> 2008, as <br /> FAMILY WEEK IN EVERETT <br /> and request that residents recognize the contributions that families <br /> offer as an essential part of our community. <br /> Signed this 19th day of November 2008. <br /> Mayor Ray Stephanson <br />
