Providence Neighborhood Outreach Meetings
1 . These meetings are held by Providence to present and discuss design concepts
and construction issues.
2. The Providence outreach meetings have always been informal. Attended by
neighbors, design consultants, contractor and City staff. Haven't ever taken
minutes
3. We have not provided copies of design in progress until we make formal submittal
to the City. As the design evolves, the drawings are quickly obsolete and their use
can create miscommunication
4. The meetings are not required by the City. The City Design Review Committee
and SEPA processes are the official venues for public comment on project level
permitting.
5. We provide the same notice of our outreach meetings that is provided for the
formal DRC and SEPA processes. Notification is provided to property owners
within 500' of the project ( City requires only contiguous owner notification), the
Herald, the Northwest Neighborhood Association and anyone who asks to be on
the mailing list. In fact the notice goes to some 480 addresses
