Maps Real Property Amount Budgeted -0- Expenditure Required -0- Account Number(s): Budget Remaining -0- Additional Required -0- DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: In 2003, Glacier Northwest upgraded their existing concrete batch-plant at 2222 Ross Avenue and developed an aggregate storage yard on their property across Ross Avenue, on Smith Island. An integral partof the project was installation of a conveyor system which crosses over Ross Avenue within the public right-of-way to move aggregate from Glacier's barge off-loading facility on the south side of Ross Avenue to their new aggregate storage yard on the north side of Ross Avenue. The conveyor also delivers aggregate to an asphalt batch plant operated by Wilder Construction, which is also located on the north side of Ross Avenue. This proposed action is to renew and extend Glacier NW's license to operate the conveyor system over Ross Avenue until 2018. RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign the "License to Use City Property" allowing Glacier NW, Inc. to operate a conveyor system over Ross Avenue on Smith Island.
