Champion, and <br />Y <br />unanimously carried to grant the applicant's request for <br />the following reasons: <br />1, The addition to Mr. <br />in conformance with <br />ing area. <br />Falkanger's house wi11 be <br />the homes of the surround- <br />2. The proposed additi.on to the structure wi_11 not <br />i o��ercrowd Nlr• Falkanger's lot. <br />3. This will permit better utilization of a now <br />unused area. <br />4. Due to the orientation of the house on the lot <br />the addition will in effect be placed in what is <br />normally considered a side yard: <br />A hearing was held on the applicacion of James and Evelyn <br />Hall, 9314 7th. Avenue, L•'verett, Washington, for a variance <br />from Section 1�.0�80 Everett City Code, (R-1, Single <br />Family Low Density Residence Zone) for permission to <br />utilize the ground floor portion of an existing structure <br />as an apartment for rental purposes on the following <br />described properLy: <br />East two hundred (200) feet of the described tract - that <br />portion ��f Government Lot 3, S�ction 18, Township 28, North, <br />Range 5 East, W.M., described as follows: <br />Begin at a point on the iJest line of said Section 18 distant <br />North 0°41'40". <br />East 372.87 feet from tt.e Soulhwest corner of said Section 18 <br />and proceed thence along vorth Margin of State Highway - <br />Broadway cutoff. , <br />North 69°14'20" - 1264.14 feet; thence along Westerly biargin <br />of Road North 0°03'49" East 1310.19 feet to the Southeast <br />corner of the tract herein described and tize true point of <br />beginning, thence North 0°C3'49" East 163.22 feet thence <br />4lest 533.88 feet thence South 163.22 thence East 533.69 feet <br />to the true point of beginning less the North 100 feet thereof. <br />After visually viewing the subject property and considering <br />all the testimony and evi.dence presented, it was moved by <br />Mr. Champion, seconded by Mr. Dickson, and unanimously carried <br />to postpone the renderiny of a decision on this application <br />for futher study until the June, 1970 Public Hearing of the <br />Board of Adjustment. <br />On motion the meeting adjourned at 8:45 p.m., May 4� 1970. <br />F.
