On� <br />side has !sound board. Our current design shows 5/8" Type "X" GWB over resilient <br />channel mounted to the wall studs on the other side. <br />Our request into omit the resilient channel. The Gypsum Association (GA) illustr tes a <br />one -hour, rated staggered wall assembly with a STC rating of 40 — 44. This ratm does <br />not include 3 1/2" batt insulation, which we intend to install at this location.
