RESOLUTION NO. 4421 A RESOLUTION authorizing application for 1997 Community Development Block Grant Funds to the Department of Housing and Urban Development WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS, funds have been made available through the Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs and Everett is entitled to receive $955,000.00 in 1997; and WHEREAS, unspent funds in the amount of funds are available to reallocate to other programs this year, and WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities of Everett and has made its recommendations for 1997 Community Development Block Grant funds; and WHEREAS,.the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations of the above committee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: I. Projects to be Funded in 1997 Public Service Funding 1. Volunteers of America $17,200.00 Family and Children's Services 2. Volunteers of America $17,200.00 Rental Housing Mediation Service 3. Center for Battered Women $21,500.00 Domestic Violence Services 4. Campfire Campships $2,000.00 5. Community Health Center $16,600.00 6. Deaconess Children's Services $5,000.00 IMPACT 7. Cocoon House $27,300.00 Homeless Youth Housing 8. Senior Services of Snohomish County $5,000.00 Housing Social Services 9. Advocates for the Rights of Citizens $16,500.00 Housing Program 10. Everett Boy's and Girl's Club $5,200.00 Community Outreach 11. Catholic Community Services $4,929.00 Volunteer Chore Services 12. Providence Sexual Assault Center $8,000.00 Volunteer Program Services 13. Everett Family YMCA $7,000.00 Financial Assistance Subtotal $153,429.00
