COMMUNITY PROMOTIONS AND CIVIC EVENTS GRANTS <br /> Mission Statement <br /> The mission of the Community Promotions and Civic Events Grants Program is to extend <br /> monetary support to non-profit, exempt organizations, defined in section 501©(3), (4), or(6) <br /> of the federal internal revenue code, undertaking projects and events that promote the City of <br /> Everett and encourage tourism expansion. <br /> POLICY STATEMENTS <br /> SCOPE OF GRANTS • This program is open to annual applications from any non- <br /> profit, exempt organization, defined in section 501©(3), (4), <br /> or (6) of the federal internal revenue code, with the ability to <br /> accomplish the proposed project. <br /> • Eligible expenses will include advertising and operational <br /> costs directly associated with producing/promoting the <br /> project/event. <br /> VENUE Eligible projects and/or events will take place within the Everett <br /> city limits and/or expressly promote Everett. <br /> MATCHING FUNDS Community Promotions and Civic Events grants are not intended <br /> to be the sole means of financing a project or promotional event. <br /> The application must demonstrate that the project applicant will <br /> supply at least 25% of the total project cost. The matching <br /> requirement may be met by a cash contribution, in-kind services, <br /> or a combination of both. <br /> Page 1 <br />
