4. <br /> RESOLUTION NO. '7 de5"- <br /> A RESOLUTION recommended by the Transportation Advisory Committee <br /> establishing a ten thousand pound weight limit on Colby Avenue/Beverly <br /> Boulevard, 41st Street to Madison <br /> WHEREAS, W.A.C. 308-330-265 (17) grants the City Traffic Engineer the authority to <br /> prohibit trucks exceeding ten thousand pounds; and <br /> WHEREAS, neighborhood residents have requested removal of gravel trucks on the above <br /> street segments; and <br /> WHEREAS, CSR-Associated has taken voluntary steps to limit the use of Colby/Beverly and <br /> encourage the use of Evergreen Way by its drivers and by independent drivers; and <br /> WHEREAS, traffic engineering staff has conducted engineering and traffic investigations, but <br /> makes no recommendation; and <br /> WHEREAS, public testimony was received by the City Transportation Advisory Committee on <br /> September 19, 1995, and February 20, 1996; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Transportation Advisory Committee has reviewed the traffic studies and <br /> recommends that a weight limit be established; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> EVERETT, that a weight limit shall be established which prohibits trucks over twelve <br /> thousand pounds gross vehicle weight limit on the following street segments. <br /> Colby Avenue - 41st Street to 63rd Street; <br /> Beverly Boulevard - 63rd Street to Madison <br /> except that the prohibition shall not apply to emergency vehicles, buses, and local operation <br /> of trucks for pick up and delivery. <br /> K €K-2(.4% <br /> Counci person IntroduciResolution <br /> PASSED AND APPROVED this ePe- day of 1996. <br /> Council President <br /> ww:jd(�.1) <br />
