RESOLUTION NO. 6871 <br />A RESOLUTION authorizing recovery of abatement costs <br />pursuant to EMC 1.20.090 at 3135 Tulalip Avenue, Everett, Washington. <br />WHEREAS, the Everett Municipal Code (the "EMC") Section 1.20.090 authorizes the <br />City to abate code violations and recover the abatement costs; and <br />WHEREAS, on April 20, 2015 an Order of the City of Everett Code Official was issued to <br />the property owner Lynda J. Yost (the "Owner") for EMC violations at 3135 Tulalip Avenue (the <br />"Property"), parcel number 00583972701700, and abbreviated legal description: <br />STANFORD LAND CO S ADD TO EVERETT BLK 727 D-00 - LOT 18 TGW ALL TH PTN LOT 17 <br />LY SELYOF A LN WH IS PLT & 12.5 FT DIST FR NWLYLN SD LOT 17 <br />WHEREAS the Owner failed to abate the violations, which among other things securing <br />a damaged and dangerous primary structure; and <br />WHEREAS, the City provided notice to the Owner explaining that failure to <br />immediately secure the primary structure would result in the City lawfully abating this violation, <br />and that the costs may become a lien against the Property if the Owner failed to reimburse the <br />City the abatement costs; and <br />WHEREAS, the City, through a contractor, conducted the abatement by securing the <br />structure from trespass on May 4, 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, the City incurred costs in the amount of $2,238.60; and <br />WHEREAS, the Owner has failed to timely pay the abatement costs; and <br />WHEREAS, notice of Council's consideration of this Resolution was provided to the <br />Owner; <br />
