March 14, 1967
Mr D Ahern
Redmond Hotel Room 17
16398 Cleveland
Bellevue, Washington
Dear Sir:
We were requested by the P.U.D. to investigate a water tank
service switch that has shown evidence of excessive arcing at
1909 - 16th Street, Everett, Washington.
I made the inspection and found the service equipment for both
apartments to be too small for the load being served. Circuits
were over fused and the water tank switch is in n dangerous
condition. This switch is designed with sliding contacts
which loosen as this one has and cause excessive heat and result
in fires.
This letter is to serve as a 10-day written notice, as required
by Section 17, City of Everett Ordinance #4118, to install
adeouate and approved service equipment for the upper apartment
at 1939 - 16th Street, EVerett, Washington.
We would appreciate your co-operation so further action will
not be necessary.
Yours truly
L J Dougherty
Electrical Inspector
