Fire alarm systems shall be installed under permit of the City of Everett Building Department. Electrical inspections and approval are required prior to calling for acceptance tests. Plans for such a system shall be submitted to the Building Department and the Fire Marshal for examination and approval. Such plans snall include plans for the underground mains that will supply the sprinkler system. Aboveground sprinkler piping shall be hyd:ostatically tested as established in NFPA Standard 13. Underground piping shall be hydrostatically tested and flushed as established in NFPA Standard 2h for priva[e fire mains. All such tests shall be witnessed by a Fire Departn;ent inspector. Fire safety practices during construction shall be in compliance with Article 87 of the Uniform Fire Cade. 18. Based upon 7,800 sq.ft. of Type V-iV, sprinklered constr�ction, the fire flow requirement is 1,500 gpm. 19. A firc '.iydrant is required within 200 driving feet, but not closer than 50 feet, of every structure. Location of the hydrant(s) shail be approved by the Fire Marshal. 20. Buildings containing high-piled combustible storage shall be in accordance with Article 81 of the 1994 Uniform Fire Code Standards. A Fire Department permit is required for high-piled storage.
