Fire alarm systems shall be installed under permit of the City of Everett Building Department. <br />Electrical inspections and approval are required prior to calling for acceptance tests. An approved automatic suppression system shall be provided as required by City Ordinance No. <br />1902-92, Chapter 16.76, of the Everett Municipal Code. <br />Plans for such a system shall be submitted to the Building Department and the Fire Marshal for <br />examination and approval. Such plans snall include plans for the underground mains that will supply <br />the sprinkler system. <br />Aboveground sprinkler piping shall be hyd:ostatically tested as established in NFPA Standard 13. <br />Underground piping shall be hydrostatically tested and flushed as established in NFPA Standard 2h <br />for priva[e fire mains. All such tests shall be witnessed by a Fire Departn;ent inspector. <br />Con[ractor's materials and test certificates shall be submitted to the Everett Fire L�epartment prior to <br />issuance of any Certificates of Occupancy. Call (425) 257-8123 for more information. <br />17. Fire safety practices during construction shall be in compliance with Article 87 of the Uniform Fire <br />Cade. <br />18. Based upon 7,800 sq.ft. of Type V-iV, sprinklered constr�ction, the fire flow requirement is 1,500 <br />gpm. <br />19. A firc '.iydrant is required within 200 driving feet, but not closer than 50 feet, of every structure. <br />Location of the hydrant(s) shail be approved by the Fire Marshal. <br />20. Buildings containing high-piled combustible storage shall be in accordance with Article 81 of the 1994 <br />Uniform Fire Code Standards. A Fire Department permit is required for high-piled storage. <br />
