The Everett Municipal Code requires ail property owners within 150 feet or adjacent to a public sanitary sewer shall connect their private sewer system to the public sewer after being notified by the City of Everett Public Works Department. Our recor�ls also indicate that your property is adjacent to, or is within 150 feet of an existing publ�c :,anitary sewer. I have enclosed an excerpt from our sanitary sewer chart indicating the proximity of your property to a pubiic sanitary sewer system. Any costs to connect, including construction and monthly sewer service charges, is to be borne by the property owr�er. If you believe your residence or business is currently connected to the City's sewer main, please contact the City of Everett Pubiic Works Department at 425-257-8800 so we can update our records. A sewer permit and application issued by the City and signed by an inspector is one viable mean� of proof. Another alternative to prove the structure is connected to the sewer system is to allow the City of Everett to perform a dye test. A dye test requires the owner's permission and the resident's notification to allow a city employee to enter the premises and flush dye into the toilet.
