The Uniform Building Code pro� ides that all permits <br />expire by limitation if the work authorized by the permits is suspended or abandoned for a <br />period of 180 days at any time after work is commenced. If you wish to prevent ihe permit <br />from expiring without documer_tltion of completion, you may: <br />1) Request an inspection of work that has occurred, to doctur.ent continuing progress, <br />or 2) Request final inspection if the work is completed, <br />or 3) Submit a written request for a 180 day estension. <br />Please respond within 10 days. After that time the file will be sent to our Records <br />Department for microfilming without final approval.
