The fees are based upon the Department's best <br />value approach to pricing, (exceed customer expectations on quality and meet expectations on price) and the cost <br />benefit policy approved by City Council on December 19, 2007. <br />The adjustments include the following: <br />1) A 25 cent increase in all daily admissions and childrens' per swim lesson fee. <br />2) Adjusting the family 10 -Swim pass discount from 12.5% to 10% to align it with all other 10 -Swim <br />Discount Cards. <br />3) No change in the Adult Instruction fee. <br />4) Adjusting pool rentals by $10 per rental and $5 more for each additional 25 patrons. <br />Consistent with the requirements of City Council Resolution No. 6013 approved on April 23, 2008, swim and <br />pool fee adjustments specify a review process and notification to the City Council prior to implementation. The <br />2016 swim and pool rental fees were the subject of public review including a public forum at the June 9, 2015 <br />regular meeting of the Board of Park Commissioners. Public notices regarding the fees and public forums were <br />placed in The Daily Herald, on the City's website and posted at the Swim Center, Recreation Office and Forest <br />Park Administration Building Offices. The Board finalized its recommendation to staff at its June 9, 2015 <br />meeting. <br />RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): None <br />
