Types of Nlaintonancm <br />Presently, procedures liave been developed for two levels of maintenanco: InspectloNm�nor <br />main(enance and major maintenance. Inspecliun/minor n�aintenance aclivflies are combined since <br />minor maintenance does not require specia! equipment and rypicaliy Illtle or no materials Are in need <br />of disposal. Inspection/minor maintenance typiplly lnvolves Insper.tlon of the vault itself and removal <br />of vegetalion and debrls. Major malntenance typically fncludes cartrid,7e recharging. Major <br />maEntenance may involve disposal of materia!s that require consideration of re�uialory guidolines. <br />Dependin� on Ihe particular unit confi;�urailon and equipment used, major mainlenance may requifo <br />an understandinc� of OSHA rules.
