It may. be d�slrable to co�duct thls inspeclion dudng a stonn to <br />observe the relative tlow tlirough the filter cartridges. If the submerged cartridges are severely <br />pluyged, large amoUnis of sediments wiil be present and very Uttle ilow wlll be discharged front th� <br />drainage pipes. Visually inspect the oxtE�rnal condilion uf the unit and take notes conceming defects/problems. <br />3. Opon lhe doors to the vault and allow the system to eir out for 5-10 mfnutes. <br />4. Without entering Ihe vault, Inspect lho insicle of ihe unii, includ(ng component,. <br />6. 7ake notes about lhe e�ernal and intaina� condilion of lhe vault. <br />E�� sure to record lhe level of sedlment bulld-up otl lho floor of ihe vaWt, in tho foreb8y, and on <br />top of the cartridges. If flow is occurrfng, note Ihe level of water end estim�te the flow rate per <br />drainage plpe. Recorcl all obseNaqolls. <br />Fi. Remove large loose debris and trash using a pole wilh a c�rapple or net on the �nd. <br />7. Close and fasten Il�e door. <br />8. Remove safeiy oq,�ipment. <br />9. Make noles about the Iocal drainage area rolalive to ongoing construclion, erosion problems, or <br />high loadiny of olher muterials to lhe syslem. <br />10.
