Invitations to bid were mailed to three potential bidders and posted on the <br /> City's website. <br /> Responses were received as shown on the attached bid summary. <br /> Luminaires and lamps bid by Service Electric Co. Inc. and ERW Corp. are proposed substitutions that do not <br /> meet specifications and are non-responsive. Staff is recommending the rejection of bids from Service Electric <br /> and ERW for luminaires and lamps; and splitting the award to the two lowest bidders,Durasource Lighting <br /> for pole assemblies and Lighting Group Northwest for luminaires &lamps. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Reject bids from Service Electric Co. Inc. and <br /> ERW Corp as non-responsive and Authorize Bid Award 2009-003 to the two lowest and responsive bidders <br /> as indicated: Durasource Lighting for pole assemblies in the amount of$56,791.28 including Washington <br /> State Sales Tax and Lighting Group Northwest for luminaires and lamps in the amount of $30,794.50; <br /> including Washington State Sales Tax. <br />
