On January 21,2009 the City Council approved an Agreement allowing the Everett Police
Department to use the Mallfor the training. Since that time the Everett Police Department has determined that
conducting the training on the dates that were initially agreed upon would result in significant overtime costs. The
parties agree that it is more practical to schedule training dates administratively on dates as approved by the Mall and
the Police Department instead of establishing specific training dates in an agreement. The proposed Amendment
provides for scheduling flexibility and also revises the termination date, setting it at February 28,2010.
RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to
the Agreement with Steadfast Everett Mall LLC for police training.
-U
