The RFP responses were evaluated by a seven- member team that included representatives from City Council, City staff, the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee, the Snohomish County Lodging Association, and the Port of Everett. The evaluation team selected the Snohomish County Tourism Bureau as the most responsive proposer. The City executed a three- year contract with the Bureau on November 5, 2007, that required a work plan and budget to be submitted each year. The annual compensation for the first year of the agreement was $123,115. The contract further provided that the City may, at its sole discretion, amend the agreement to reflect a change in total compensation for subsequent years. Amendment No. 1 accepts the second year work plan as submitted and increases the annual compensation to $130,095. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to Professional Service Agreement Between the City of Everett and Snohomish County Tourism Bureau in the amount of$130,095.
