RivERFRoNT DISTRICT <br /> 2000 City Shoreline Advisory Committee recommends a mixed-use vision for redevelopment of the Riverfront <br /> June 2001 City begins construction on the first stage of the 41st Street Overcrossing. <br /> 2002-2006 City and Department of Ecology enter into a Consent Decree for a scope of work and a Clean-Up Action Plan that <br /> would allow redevelopment at the landfill. City completes the work scope per the Consent Decree regarding the <br /> clean up of the existing conditions at the landfill site. <br /> 2001 - 2002 City completes phases I construction of 41st Street Overcrossing project. <br /> July 2001 Pilchuck Audobon Society, Public Employees for Environmental Responsibility, and Tulalip Tribes file a lawsuit <br /> regarding the 41st St. Overcrossing project. <br /> May 2002 City adopts Shoreline Master Program that established the vision for Simpson and Landfill sites <br /> 2004 — 2006 City completes the 41st St. Overcrossing Project <br /> November 2004 City accepts Requests for Qualification for Riverfront District developer. <br /> April 2005 City Council selects OliverMcMillan as Riverfront District developer <br /> August 2006 City completes agreement with BNSF to move rail lines <br /> Oct. 16 2006 City issues EIS scoping notice <br />
