8 <br /> RESOLUTION NO <br /> A RESOLUTION concerning 2009 Community Development Block Grant <br /> funds, CDBG Stimulus, HOME funds, Affordable Housing 2060 funds, <br /> CHIP funds and approval of the 2009 Action Plan and amendments to the <br /> 2008 Action Plan for submission to the Department of Housing and Urban <br /> Development <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and community <br /> development programs in Everett; and <br /> WHEREAS, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds have been made available through the <br /> United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs and Everett is <br /> entitled to receive an estimated $900,000.00 for 2009; and <br /> WHEREAS, CDBG Stimulus funds have been made available through the United States Department of <br /> Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs and Everett is entitled to receive in the <br /> amount of$249,826.00; and <br /> WHEREAS, through Interlocal agreements, the City of Everett will receive HOME funds , American Dream <br /> Down payment Initiative (ADDI) funds, and 2060 Housing Trust funds from Snohomish County this year; <br /> and. <br /> WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied the <br /> housing and community development needs and priorities of Everett and has made its recommendations for <br /> 2009 CDBG funds; 2007, 2008 and 2009 HOME funds; 2007 and 2008 ADDI funds; and 2009 2060 <br /> Housing Trust funds; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations from the above <br /> committee; and <br /> WHEREAS, the 2009 Action Plan has been written in cooperation with the Everett Housing Authority and <br /> other non profit service providers; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: <br /> 96 <br />
