March 8, 2017 <br /> The regular meeting of the Everett City Council was called to order at <br /> 6:30 p.m., March 8, 2017, in the City Council Chambers of the William E. <br /> Moore Historic City Hall, Council President Tuohy presiding. Upon roll call, <br /> it was found that Council Members Roberts, Moore, Murphy, Franklin, <br /> Bader, Stonecipher, and Tuohy were present. Mayor Stephanson was <br /> excused. <br /> Council Member Roberts led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> The minutes of the March 1, 2017, City Council meeting were approved as <br /> printed. <br /> MAYOR <br /> Mayor Stephanson was excused. <br /> COUNCIL <br /> Council Member Moore reminded the public that the deadline for the <br /> Evergreen Branch Library expansion survey is March 20. <br /> Council Member Roberts reported on his attendance on Saturday at the <br /> Ensuring Inclusive Community Engagement event with speaker Jim Diers. <br /> Council Member Murphy echoed Council Member Roberts comments <br /> about the Ensuring Inclusive Community Engagement event. <br /> Council Member Franklin reported on her attendance at the National <br /> Association for the Advancement of Colored People Freedom Fund Gala. <br /> She also commented on her attendance at the Everett Public Schools <br /> Foundation Annual Benefit Breakfast. <br /> President Tuohy commented on the annual Council Retreat scheduled for <br /> April 15. She provided a recap of the Public Safety Subcommittee meeting <br /> held earlier this evening. President Tuohy announced that the regular City <br /> Council meeting on March 15 was cancelled due to council members <br /> 79 <br />
