Community <br /> Transit has offered local jurisdictions the option of personalizing the Swift Stations with unique artwork, <br /> made of concrete and measuring 8' square that will be incorporated into the platform. Community Transit <br /> will provide a not-to-exceed budget of$7,000 per station to cover the cost of production and installation of <br /> the completed piece. <br /> The City of Everett issued a Call to Artists fordesign proposals. Together, with the approval of Community <br /> Transit,the artist Cheri O'Brien was selected to create the concrete artwork for all 11 stations. The City of <br /> Everett is writing the Professional Services Agreement with the artist, and will oversee the contract and the <br /> schedule of payments to the artist. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional <br /> Services Agreement between City of Everett and Cheri O'Brien for the construction and installation of <br /> concrete artwork at 11 Swift Station platforms in Everett. <br /> e. <br />
