Tally Sheet Department Code Rev Exp FB GGR-7 Planning Re-appropriation-Urban Livability Grant 021 R 4,850 GGR-7 General Fund Re-appropriation-Urban Livability Grant 002R 4,850 The City received a grant in 2000 from the State of Washington for an Urban Livability Grant to establish design guidelines for development that will support pedestrian and transit-oriented use of Broadway Avenue. LMN Architects has been under contract to finalize these guidelines. On October 22, 2008, City Council adopted the"Broadway Mixed Use-BMU"zone in which these guidelines will apply. This re-appropriation carries forward the remaining $4,850 to fund graphics and publication of the design guidelines for the Broadway zone. The Downtown Plan's goal is to promote economic development, and a dynamic mixed-use environment including, office, retail and residential elements. Residential elements are intended to promote a sustainable urban living environment consistent with state growth management goals.
