6 <br /> EXHIBIT A <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> A. Project Description: <br /> The Artist shall create concrete artwork for each of the Everett Swift Stations. <br /> B. Requirements: <br /> 1. The Artist agrees that an essential element of this Agreement is the skill and creativity of <br /> the Artist. The Artist shall not assign the creative or artistic portions of the work to <br /> another party without the consent of the City. <br /> 2. In the event that the Artist desires to make changes to the artwork during construction <br /> (including without limitation any changes to the scope, design, character, medium, <br /> structure or installation of the artwork),the Artist shall obtain the prior written consent of <br /> the City for those changes. <br /> 3. The Artist will provide information to the City regarding materials and finishes to be used <br /> in the creation of the artwork. Substitutions may be required by the City in the event that <br /> the proposed materials or finishes are unacceptable to the City. <br /> 4. Upon completion of the artwork and prior to final payment the Artist must submit the <br /> following to the City: <br /> a. Jpeg images of installed artwork at each of the Everett Swift Stations, labeled <br /> by location <br /> b. A care information sheet which details the materials used in the artwork and <br /> the care required for the artwork; <br /> c. An Artist's statement concerning the artwork that the City may use for public <br /> information purposes; and <br /> d. The Artist's professional resume. <br /> 5. The Artist shall participate in a dedication ceremony. <br /> 6. The Artist shall acknowledge the City's role in funding the work in all public <br /> presentations and written, printed or electronic publication of information regarding the <br /> artwork. <br /> 7. The Artist shall fully cooperate with Community Transit. <br /> C. Consultation: <br /> The Artist will consult as necessary with John Anthony of Community Transit, (425)438- <br /> 6175, the project manager (or design staff and/or sub-consultants). <br /> D. Artwork Description: <br /> The artwork for each Everett Swift Station consists of four square concrete slabs acceptable <br /> to the City. These artwork slabs will be installed by Artist in each Everett Swift Station at a <br /> location designated by the City. The four artwork slabs for the 40th Street northbound <br /> Everett Swift Station will measure three feet by four feet. The four artwork slabs for the each <br /> of the other Everett Swift Stations will measure four feet by four feet. In sum, the Artist shall <br /> design, construct, and install a total of forty 4' X 4' artwork slabs and four 3' X 4' artwork <br /> slabs. <br /> 0 A <br /> A. <br />
