GeoTest <br /> Services Inc. will provide services to ensure that there is proper compaction and density of the sub base, fill <br /> material and crushed surfacing layers prior to placement of surfacing materials. Surfacing materials include <br /> concrete and hot mix asphalt. GeoTest Services Inc. will also test materials used(such as concrete) to ensure <br /> the materials meet the specifications and will achieve design strengths. Cost of the services will be on a time <br /> and materials basis with a contract cap. <br /> Funds for this agreement will be from the Lions Park Renovation Funding Ordinance 3116-09 ($1.2 million). <br /> Sufficient funds exist within the project construction contingency to fund this work in an amount not to <br /> exceed $6,500. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign a Professional Services Agreement with GeoTest Services Inc. for soil <br /> compaction and materials testing related to the Lions Park Renovation Project not to exceed $6,500. <br /> 7 <br /> S:\SFuller\Council Agenda\CS GeoTest PSA Lions 4-15-09(3)_rev.doc <br />
