0 <br /> EXHIBIT A • <br /> SCOPE OF WORK <br /> 1. Work to Be Performed <br /> General <br /> The general scope of work for this agreement shall include structural analysis and design, and preparation <br /> of reports or construction documents for small projects beyond the capability or immediate resources of <br /> City departments. The intent is to provide structural analysis and design services for all City Departments <br /> on an as-needed basis. Examples, not all-inclusive, of such work are as follows: analysis and/or <br /> design of storage racks; operational lifting devices; roof and floor loading; small bridges; marine <br /> docks and floats; reinforced concrete structures; and other similar facilities and structures.. This <br /> may also include preparation of written reports in the form requested by the commissioning department, <br /> preparation of plans and specifications for bidding work, and construction oversight. Work shall be <br /> authorized by the commissioning Department on a task basis in writing by requesting a proposal from the <br /> service provider which defines the task scope of work, schedule and reporting requirements. The service <br /> provider's proposal shall address all items in the task scope of work,a proposed schedule for completion <br /> of the work and submittal of required plans, specifications and reports, and the proposed fee for the task. <br /> A Task Proposal form is attached as Exhibit D to this Agreement. Interdepartmental work shall be <br /> coordinated through the Engineering and Public Services Department as overall manager for this contract. <br /> Coordination of Compensation: <br /> The Service Provider shall maintain the cumulative paid amount for all tasks performed against this <br /> agreement and shall assure that any negotiated or proposed work plus prior accumulated costs shall not <br /> exceed the total compensation allowed in Paragraph 3D. The service provider shall provide this <br /> information to the City when requested. Should the addition of any proposed work exceed 90% of the <br /> total compensation, the Service Provider shall notify the City contact in Paragraph 23. Should any <br /> proposed work exceed the total compensation allowed, the Service Provider shall cease any further work <br /> and notify the City Contact, who will determine necessary action. <br /> 2.
