The proposed Amendment No. 1
to the Interagency Agreement with the Seattle Police Department would (1) extend the term of the
Agreement from November 30, 2009 to May 15, 2010 and (2) increase funding for the Analyst from $75,000
to $122,858. This analyst, working under the direct supervision of the Everett Police Department, focuses on
detecting and preventing terrorism and other related crime, such as importing illegal weapons, organized
crime and criminal gangs, as well as protecting critical infrastructure. This Agreement provides an analytical
capability within the northern region of the Seattle Urban area, city of Everett and Snohomish County. No
matching funds are required.
RECOMMENDATION: Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 1 to the Interagency Agreement
No. 2008-36 with Seattle Police Department regarding compensation for one FTE Intelligence Analyst at the
Everett Police Department in support of the Urban Area Security Initiative, northern region, in the amount of
$122,858.00.
1 n 8
