In order to protect the roadway and City utilities (including the City's South End Sewer Interceptor) from potentially washing out, the poor soils must be stabilized and the upstream face of the roadway needs to be protected. Improvements will include a sheet pile retaining wall and grout injections around the Larimer Road culvert crossing of Wood Creek. Additional time is required for GeoEngineers to complete construction management services for the Larimer Road at the Wood Creek Project. As a result,the Professional Services Agreement needs to be amended to extend the completion date from June 30, 2009,to December 31, 2009, at no additional cost. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign Amendment No. 3 to the Professional Services Agreement with GeoEngineers, Inc. extending the completion date for construction management services for the Larimer Road at Wood Creek Project, at no additional cost. 17
