Exhibit A-2 <br /> Description of Activities <br /> AGENCY: CITY OF EVERETT <br /> CONTRACT NUMBER: HOME-H 2004#01 (2) <br /> The City of Everett will use HOME funds from the Snohomish County/City of Everett Consortium <br /> to undertake eligible activities in the City of Everett. <br /> In addition to the known activities outlined below, the City of Everett may undertake other eligible <br /> HOME activities. The following activities are listed as eligible within 24 CFR 92.205 and 209: <br /> New construction, reconstruction, and rehabilitation, including real property acquisition, site <br /> improvements, conversion, demolition, financing costs, relocation expenses and tenant-based <br /> rental assistance <br /> Any activities carried out under this Agreement must conform to applicable federal regulations. <br /> Additional activities must be listed in an amendment to Attachment "A" and must describe the <br /> activity and provide a timeline and budget. <br /> The following activities replace previous activities planned under this Agreement. If others are to <br /> be considered, it will require an amendment to this Attachment "A" and shall describe the <br /> proposed new activities and shall be subject to approval by the County. <br /> BUDGET <br /> Activity Amount Awarded Source <br /> The following projects and budgets replace the Community Housing Improvement Program (CHIP) <br /> budget of$574,309 with $483,080 in 2004 HOME funds and $91,229 in 2003 HOME funds: <br /> 1. Artspace Everett Artist Lofts $410,521.00 HOME-H 2004#01A <br /> $ 91,229.00 HOME-H 2003#02B <br /> $501,750.00 <br /> To construct 40 affordable apartment units at 2919 Hoyt Avenue in the City of Everett for <br /> low-income persons with incomes up to 80%of the area median income. <br /> 2. HomeSight's Down payment Assistance $72,559.00 HOME-H 2004#01 B <br /> To provide downpayment assistance to first-time homebuyers within the City of Everett. <br /> PROJECT TIMELINES <br /> Activity Finish Date <br /> The following timelines were added for the 2004 program funds: <br /> 1.
