In addition,these officers will <br /> serve as a positive resource to provide school students,parents,teachers and <br /> administrators with information, support and problem-solving meditation and <br /> facilitation. <br /> B. It is agreed that the City will select the officer to be assigned to each school after <br /> consultation with the District. It is intended that the officers be at the schools <br /> designated above on days that school is in session, for his/her forty-two (42)hour <br /> .work week minus any scheduled vacation time, sick time,training time, court time, <br /> or any other police related activity. If an assigned officer is transferred to the City's <br /> Police Department Administrative Services Division because of extended absence or <br /> other circumstances,the City will select an alternative officer to be assigned to the <br /> school. In the event the City is experiencing a Police manpower shortage that <br /> prevents assignment of an alternative officer,the parties agree to renegotiate the <br /> Agreement as set forth in Section 4. <br /> C. Scheduling duties for these officers while school is in session will be as mutually <br /> agreed upon by the school administration,the officer and the officer's supervisor to <br /> maximize the officer's use. On scheduled workdays when school is not in session <br /> (summer vacation,school breaks,holidays,etc.),the officers will work on <br /> assignments as determined by their police.supervisor. - <br /> D. The City and the District will agree to a reporting system that will include at least <br /> quarterly reports to be submitted to the District by the City's Police Department <br /> detailing activities performed by the officers at their respective schools. Such <br /> reporting system can be modified by the mutual agreement of the parties. <br /> E. The City and the District agree to have regular meetings,to be held at the end of <br /> each school semester,to discuss the Program and its benefits and shortcomings in an <br /> effort to modify the Program to provide the best possible service to the City and the <br /> District. <br /> Section 2: Funding <br /> For the 2009-2010 school year,the District shall pay the City a total of one hundred <br /> seventy-five thousand three hundred and two dollars($175,302.00) for the high schools' <br /> SRO Programs. For the 2010-2011 school year,the District shall.pay the City a total of <br /> one hundred eighty-two thousand two hundred and three dollars($182,203.00)for the <br /> high schools' SRO Programs. For the 2011-2012 school year,the District shall pay the <br /> City a total of one hundred eighty-nine thousand four hundred and fifty-four dollars <br /> ($189,454.00)for the high schools'SRO Programs. This amount shall be paid to the City <br /> within thirty(30) days of invoicing.
