l <br /> c. "Required identification" means the person's name, current <br /> address and date of birth. <br /> B. For the purposes of this sestienchapter: <br /> 1. , "municipal tTransit station" or"transit facility" means all passenger <br /> facilities, structures, . _ , '• - - •- - 'e , _ _ _ _ stops, <br /> shelters, bus zones, properties, and rights-of-way of all kinds that are <br /> owned, leased, held, or used by a • - - -. ' _ _ - _ - _ <br /> 35.58.272 transit authority for the purpose of providing public <br /> transportation services, or as otherwise defined by state law; <br /> tunnels, and bus shelters. <br /> 2. "Transit vehicle" means any motor vehicle, street car, train, trolley <br /> vehicle, ferry boat, or any other device, vessel, or vehicle that is <br /> owned or operated by a transit authority or an entity providing service <br /> on behalf of a transit authority that is used for the purpose of carrying <br /> passengers on a schedule, or as otherwise defined by state law. <br /> 3. "Transit authority" means a city transit system under RCW 35.58.2721 <br /> or chapter 35.95A RCW, a county transportation authority under <br /> chapter 36.57 RCW, a metropolitan municipal corporation transit <br /> system under chapter 36.56 RCW, a public transportation benefit area <br /> under chapter 36.57A RCW, an unincorporated transportation benefit <br /> area under RCW 36.57.100, a regional transportation authority under <br /> chapter 81.112 RCW, or any special purpose district formed to <br /> operate a public transportation system, or as otherwise defined by <br /> state law. <br /> Section 3. Severability <br /> Should any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this <br /> Ordinance or its application to any person or situation, be declared <br /> unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the <br /> validity of the remaining portions of this Ordinance or its application to any other <br /> person or situation. The City Council hereby declares that it would have adopted <br /> this Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase or portion <br /> thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, <br /> clauses, phrases or portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional. <br /> Section 4. General Duty <br /> It is expressly the purpose of this Ordinance to provide for and promote the <br /> health, safety and welfare of the general public and not to create or otherwise <br /> establish or designate any particular class or group of persons who will or should <br /> be especially protected or benefited by the terms of this Ordinance.
