Jackson Park.
Eleven firms responded to the request for qualifications. The submittals were evaluated by an intra -city staff
committee (Parks, Engineering, Planning) and the five highest scoring firms were selected for oral
interviews. Interviews were conducted by the committee, which also included representation from the Parks
Board and the Delta Neighborhood. MacLeod Reckord was judged to be the top ranked firm that would best
meet the needs of the City. Therefore, staff recommends that the City Council approve entering into a
Professional Services Agreement with MacLeod Reckord for Master Planning services in an amount not to
exceed $196,000.00. This includes $10,077.00 for services that may be needed based upon any issues that
surface during the development of the Master Plan.
To date, $134,088.00 has been spent from the existing funding ordinance for prior work renovating the park
(community picnic shelter and related amenities).
RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council):
Authorize the Mayor to sign the Professional Services Agreement with MacLeod Reckord for Senator Henry
M. Jackson Park in an amount not to exceed $196,000
23
