The Snohomish County PUD filed for a relicense in May 2009. Due to many unresolved issues <br /> among stakeholders, the PUD embarked on settlement negotiations. Settlement has been reached with all of <br /> the involved parties, culminating in a settlement agreement that the parties will sign supporting 23 license <br /> articles. These include the issues of minimum instream flows,recreational fishing, fish passage at the City's <br /> Diversion Dam,water supply, and water quality protection. These articles taken together secure the <br /> reliability and quality of the City's water supply for the next 45 years. <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Settlement Agreement for the Henry M. Jackson Hydroelectric Project <br /> substantially in the form provided. <br /> 27 <br />
