Account Number(s): <br /> Budget Remaining <br /> Additional Required <br /> DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: <br /> This is the Third Supplemental Agreement to the 1981 Amended Agreement between the City and <br /> Snohomish County PUD regarding the operation and relicensing of the Jackson Hydroelectric Project. This <br /> was necessitated by two issues that developed during the recent Federal Energy Regulatory Commission <br /> (FERC)relicensing process. First, a license article will state that the City's water supply and quality <br /> requirements shall have precedence over power generation. This agreement describes how disputes are to be <br /> settled. Second, since the Lake Chaplain lands are being removed from the FERC Project boundaries,the <br /> agreement with the PUD needs to be revised. The City will bear the costs of revised land management and <br /> the PUD will cover the costs of their wildlife biologist staff <br /> RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): <br /> Authorize the Mayor to sign the Third Supplemental Agreement between Public Utility District No. 1 of <br /> Snohomish County and the City of Everett substantially in the form provided. <br /> 31 <br />
