Account Number(s): 401-5-710-118-650;UT 2160 Amount Budgeted NA W/In Annual Utilities Transmission Line Budget Additional Required $ 0 DETAILED SUMMARY STATEMENT: The former Drainage District Number 6 (DD6) and its facilities provided flood protection for facilities owned by the City, County, and Puget Sound Energy. In August of 2002,the County Council officially dissolved DD6. The City entered into a maintenance agreement with the County and Puget Sound Energy in 2004,which was revised in 2006. The proposed Amended and Restated Maintenance and Repair Agreement reflects Puget Sound Energy's efforts to reconstruct their electrical transmission system and details the tasks, projects needing completion, delegated responsibilities, and cost sharing to maintain the former DD6 facilities to continue protecting the Number 5 transmission line. RECOMMENDATION (Exact action requested of Council): Authorize the Mayor to sign the Amended and Restated Agreement for Maintenance and Repairs of Flood Control and Associated Drainage Facilities Located on County Property in Former Drainage District Number.6. 29
