Project Management
This task allows time for the project manager to develop and maintain a project file, communication with
EPWD, allows for communication between ICF Jones&Stokes and the structural and geotechnical engineers,
as well as budget tracking, invoicing and preparation of progress reports.
Unauthorized Additional Services
At the specific authorization of EPWD,ICE Jones&Stokes will conduct specifically requested additional
services, including but not limited to attendance at an agency meeting to support resolution of the bridge
scour and hydraulic constraints identified during the year 1 monitoring.
This task is intended to accomplish additional services requests without having to amend the contract multiple
times, but ICF Jones&Stokes will track the level of effort(s) requested under this task and inform EPWD if
funds in this task are insufficient to accomplish the requested work. This task will only be conducted if
authorized in writing by EPWD.
DELIVERABLE:.
ICF Jones&Stokes will electronically deliver one PDF of the draft Alternatives Analysis memo and one CD and
one hard copy of the final Alternatives Analysis memo, incorporating one round of consolidated client review
edits into the final document.
ASSUMPTIONS:
ICF Jones&Stokes will not conduct a scour analysis or engineering analyses, as would likely be necessary for
engineering design, but the estimated costs associated with these types of necessary analyses will be included
in the memo.
The alternatives analysis does not include design plans for any engineering solution analyzed, but rather
comparative assessment of the potential costs, permitting implications, and potential consequences on the
availability of mitigation area that may result from a long term fix versus trail rerouting/abandonment of the
dike and bridges.
The alternatives analysis will be conducted to a level of detail and precision commensurate with the budget
ceiling established by EPWD, as illustrated in the attached cost estimate. This approach will thus be inherently
somewhat qualitative and will rely on estimated costs to create the Summary of Quantities.
Alternatives Analysis Scope,October 6,20097 Page 3
