RESOLUTION NO. 4243 4.4,7 A RESOLUTION authorizing application for 1996 Community Development Block Grant Funds to the Department of Housing and Urban Development WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Everett recognized the need for certain housing and community development programs in Everett; and WHEREAS, funds have been made available through the Department of Housing and Urban Development to provide for those programs and Everett is entitled to receive $998,000.00 in 1996; and WHEREAS, the Citizens Advisory Committee for Housing and Community Development has studied the housing and community development needs and priorities of Everett and has made its recommendations for 1996 Community Development Block Grant funds; and WHEREAS, the City Council if the City of Everett has reviewed the recommendations of the above committee; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF EVERETT THAT: I. Projects to be Funded in 1996 Public Service Funding 1. Volunteers of America $16,000.00 Family and Children's Services 2. Volunteers of America $17,000.00 Rental Housing Mediation Service 3. Center for Battered Women $21,000.00 Domestic Violence Services 4. Campfire $5,000.00 Campships 5. Community Health Center $17,000.00 6. Deaconess Children's Services $5,000.00 IMPACT 7. Cocoon House $28,000.00 Homeless Youth Housing 8. Senior Services of Snohomish County $5,000.00 Housing Social Services 9. Advocates for the Rights of Citizens $16,400.00 Housing Program 10. LifeNet Health $7,000.00 Emergency Assistance Loan and Grant Fund for Low Income Participants of Three Employment/Educational Programs 11. Salvation Army $18,000.00 Family Services Office 12.
