Residence #1 (the two story building): <br /> Violations noted pursuant to the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous <br /> Buildings: <br /> 1. According to EPD, the building is used by gangs, minor children who find the <br /> building attractive, and is a harbor for run away minors. <br /> 2. According to EPD, there is a use of drugs on the premises. <br /> 3. EPD frequents the building each night upon receiving complaints, and with <br /> several vehicles at a time. <br /> 4. The building is a nuisance and endangers the health, safety, and welfare of the <br /> public, and inquisitive minors in the area. <br /> 5. The building is maintained in violation of requirements applicable to such <br /> buildings as provided by the building regulations of this jurisdiction, as <br /> specified in the Building Code. <br /> 6. The building is unsafe for dwelling purposes. <br /> 7. The building is in such a condition as to constitute a public nuisance known to <br /> the common law or in equity jurisprudence. <br /> Additional violations as defined in the Uniform Housing Code: <br /> 1. Vandalism has caused serious damage to walls and structural components of the <br /> building. All vital systems, heating, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical have <br /> been destroyed. <br /> 2. There is graffiti on the exterior and interior of the building. <br /> 3. Window panes have been destroyed and doors are broken and/or missing. <br /> 4. Siding has been destroyed, broken and is missing in some areas on the exterior <br /> of the building. <br /> 5. There is a lack of weather protection for the interior, and the exterior of the <br /> building. <br /> 6. The building is a nuisance to the health, safety, and welfare of the public, and <br /> inquisitive minors in the area. <br /> 7. In its present condition, the building endangers the health, safety, and welfare <br /> of the public, and inquisitive minors in the area. <br /> 2 <br />
