1111, <br /> NI/7m <br /> 4213 <br /> RESOLUTION NO. <br /> A RESOLUTION increasing the Charter Review Committee's <br /> membership and amending Resolution No. 4194. <br /> WHEREAS,Resolution No. 4194 established the Charter Review Committee; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the membership of the Charter Review <br /> Committee should be increased; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF EVERETT: <br /> Section 1: That Section 1 of Resolution No. 4194 which reads as follows: <br /> A Charter Review Committee, consisting of fifteen (15) Everett citizens, is <br /> hereby established. Seven (7) members shall be nominated by the City <br /> Council for designation by the Mayor and seven (7) members shall be <br /> designated by the Mayor. Each Council member shall designate one (1) <br /> person to make up the seven (7) members nominated by the City Council. <br /> These fourteen (14) members so designated shall nominate three persons, <br /> one of whom shall be designated by the Mayor to serve as the fifteenth <br /> member of the Charter Review Committee. The Committee so formed <br /> shall elect a chairperson from its members. The chairperson shall retain full <br /> voting rights. <br /> If a vacancy occurs on the Committee, the Mayor may designate a person <br /> to fill that vacancy. <br /> be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> A Charter Review Committee, consisting of twenty-one (21) Everett <br /> citizens, is hereby established. Ten (10) members shall be nominated by the <br /> City Council for designation by the Mayor and ten (10) members shall be <br /> designated by the Mayor. Each Council member shall designate one (1) <br /> person. Additionally, the Council as a whole shall designate three (3) <br /> additional members to make up the ten (10) nominated by the City Council. <br /> These twenty(20) members so designated shall nominate three (3) persons, <br /> one of whom shall be designated by the Mayor to serve as the twenty-first <br /> (21st) member of the Charter Review Committee. The Committee so <br /> formed shall elect a chairperson from its members. The chairperson shall <br /> retain full voting rights. <br /> 1 <br />
