1!!!!!!Ia <br /> ERETT <br /> RESOLUTION NO . 7-,7/ 3 <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the City to enter <br /> into an agreement for reduced fares for Everett <br /> Community College students with Community Transit <br /> and Everett Community College. <br /> Whereas, the City of Everett, Community Transit and Everett <br /> Community College share the desire to provide a transportation <br /> program that will reduce single occupant vehicle travel and <br /> improve the mobility of the students of Everett Community <br /> College; and <br /> Whereas, Everett Community College desires to reduce the overflow <br /> parking that adversely affects the neighboring residential and <br /> commercial areas; and <br /> Whereas, Community Transit has the responsibility for providing <br /> public transportation within its public transit benefit area and <br /> provides many Snohomish County residents with service to Everett <br /> Community College and to the City of Everett; and <br /> Whereas, Everett Transit has the responsibility for providing <br /> public transportation in the City of Everett and provides many <br /> Everett residents with transit service to Everett Community <br /> College and provides Snohomish County residents with service to <br /> Everett Community College through its transfer linkages with <br /> Community Transit; and <br /> Whereas, Everett Transit, Community Transit and Everett Community <br /> College have been involved in negotiations to provide to the <br /> students of Everett Community College a low cost pass which would <br /> be honored by both Everett Transit and Community Transit; and <br /> Whereas, Everett Transit, Community Transit and Everett Community <br /> College have negotiated a draft agreement envisioning a <br /> demonstration project lasting three quarters - Fall 1995, Winter <br /> 1996 and Spring 1996; and <br />
