RESOLUTION NO. 410 3 <br /> A RESOLUTION changing the speed limit on 5th Avenue West, Casino Road to <br /> 88th Street S.W., from 30 mph to 25 mph. <br /> WHEREAS, W.A.C. 308-330-270 grants City Council the authority to alter speed limits by resolution; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Everett Police Department has requested a speed limit change on the above street segment; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the proximity of Horizon Elementary School warrants special consideration; and <br /> WHEREAS, traffic engineering staff has conducted engineering studies and recommend the requested <br /> change; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Transportation Advisory Committee has reviewed the staff recommendations and <br /> recommends that the speed limit change be authorized. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF EVERETT that <br /> the speed limit on 5th Avenue West, Casino Road to 88th Street S.W., be changed from 30 mph to 25 mph, <br /> and that the City Traffic Engineer shall order and install such signs, markings and devices as are necessary to <br /> affect this change. <br /> Counci person Introduc'ng Resolution <br /> PASSED and APPROVED this 12th day of Ala , 1995. <br /> MILL" AP <br /> Co -Pre• dent <br /> KF:jcl/Resols.doc(1) <br />
